White Company and Gladiator instruments were built with very high quality for their price range. In the Gladiator brand was dropped to better spend limited resources on the American Standard brand. In, it was decided that the brand name American Standard should be up dated and changed to Tempo. At the same time the King logo was changed to the symbol that is used today. The Tempo line of instruments stayed the same, giving the customer a great instrument at a low price.
